{"id":2017,"date":"2024-07-07T00:24:43","date_gmt":"2024-07-06T21:24:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/puzzle-se.eu\/?p=2017"},"modified":"2024-09-05T16:23:56","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T13:23:56","slug":"parenting-together","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/puzzle-se.eu\/en\/parenting-together\/","title":{"rendered":"Parenting Together"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"2017\" class=\"elementor elementor-2017\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-658d35f e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"658d35f\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e0a6c88 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e0a6c88\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Based on the success of the<a href=\"http:\/\/elpida-project.eu\/index.php\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> ELPIDA<\/a>, the main objective of this project was to <strong>improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities (PWD)<\/strong>) by empowering family members, especially parents of people with disabilities, and raising their awareness of how best to support the needs of children and young adults with intellectual disabilities.<\/p><p><strong>To achieve this goal, an e-learning platform was created<\/strong> which provides interactive training modules covering the main areas where families of people with disabilities have been identified as needing training, awareness raising and\/or attitude change.<\/p><p><strong>The modules cover issues that pose the main challenges in the lives of families with disabilities,<\/strong> with special emphasis on younger children:<\/p><ul><li>The road to diagnosis<\/li><li>Working with professionals and developing in-house<\/li><li>Inclusive and specialised training options<\/li><li>Universal design<\/li><li>Integrating family and community<\/li><li>Well-being of parents<\/li><\/ul><p>In addition, other intellectual products were developed over the 30 months, such as a case management system manual for practitioners and a training and guidance framework for parent and peer supporters, as well as an advocacy toolkit to enable policy-supported implementation.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/course.parentingtogether.eu\/?lang=el\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/course.parentingtogether.eu\/?lang=el<\/a><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/parentingtogether.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/parentingtogether.eu\/<\/a><\/p><p>The Parenting Together project was funded by ERASMUS+ and implemented between 2020 and 2023.
