About us

Puzzle S.E. is a social enterprise founded in 2015 aiming to bring a breath of fresh air in the field of social care provision in Greece. The Puzzle team is comprised of six experienced professionals with many years of experience in supporting people from vulnerable social groups and in managing organisations providing social services to people with disability.
We are inspired by the principles of social inclusion and equal, active participation of all people.

We believe that every member of the community is entitled to respect as well as equal treatment and opportunities to contribute, and we are committed to take action in order to make this vision come true. Because we all pieces of the puzzle, all unique, all equally important.

Fields of activity

Consulting oranisations providing social care

Our extensive experience has equipped us with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge in order to be able to provide high standard consultation services including:

  • Development of management and monitoring systems to ensure quality of provided services
  • capacity building
  • Staff training
  • Exploring possible funding opportunities on a national and European level
  • Networking with other organisations both in Greece as well as on an international level

Research Studies

Our scientific research team includes professionals with postgraduate degrees in education, psychology and social inclusion. Members from the Puzzle team have undertaken studies and researches on a wide range of social issues, such as volunteering, non-formal education, quality of life of people with disability, employment, supported living etc.

Training of professionals

We are working according to the latest best practices in research and in practice on an international level.

Developing projects aiming at improving the quality of life of people who belong in vulnerable social groups

We are currently collaborating with the Swedish organization MTM and the research center RIX – East London University in order to develop a new methodology which will promote access to information for people with difficulties in understanding and communicating information.

Composing and implementing European and nationally funded programmes (e.g. Erasmus+)

We have composed and submitted successful projects under European programmes, such as Erasmus+, both for our organisation as well as other organisations who we work with.

Research Studies

The Puzzle team has composed and is currently implementing the project “Developing Easy to Read formats for persons with Intellectual disabilities” in collaboration with the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas, the RIX Centre of the East London University, the Swedish organisation MTM, the Lithuanian organisation Jaunuoliu Dienos Centras, and the Polish organisation Smialek. It is an innovative partnership of organisations and experts from different countries aiming at developing new methodologies in order to make information more accessible to people with understanding difficulties. During this project, we use the easy to read methodology alongside multimedia as tools to make communication and access to materials on basic human rights more accessible (easier to understand) for people with intellectual disability.

The Puzzle team is comprised of six experienced professionals, who have worked in organisations providing social care and support to people with disability and who have extensive experience in research, practical and management levels.

Networks

We place emphasis on networking with professionals and organisations in Greece and Europe, in creative communication, exchange of experiences and knowledge transfer. We participate in very important international networks like EASPD, the Caravan and the Citizen Network and this enables us to develop close and constructive cooperation with individuals and organisations who are at the forefront of social care provision internationally.
